Why is COVx-HT better than competitors?
Unlike other testing offerings on the market, the COVx-HT kit contains everything you need to collect your sample quickly and easily. We even included your return packaging along with an expedited FedEx label.
 
You do not have to register your kit, go through additional steps, or remember complicated serial numbers. All of the back-end registration is handled for you at the time of order, creating a seamless experience. Shipping to and from your home is included in the price – there are no hidden charges or surprise fees.
How does COVx-HT work?

COVx-HT contains everything you need to collect a test sample at home. Your box contains detailed instructions and a user friendly demonstration video is available on our website.

You do not perform the test yourself, the test to determine if you are infected with SARS-CoV-2 is performed by our qualified CLIA laboratory services provider.

This test requires an easy to swab lower nasal sample. Do not use saliva or blood to provide a sample.

Included in the COVx-HT package are the instruction sheet, a sterile swab for sample collection, a sample tube containing saline solution, a biohazardous sample bag, and a return shipment envelope.

After using the swab and inserting it into the sample tube, the tube is placed in the biohazardous sample bag and into the return shipment envelope. Simply drop the shipment envelope off at the carrier’s facility within 24 hours of collecting the sample. Within 48 hours of receipt by the lab, your test results will be available on your portal. Easy.

Will my insurance pay for this?

Under Federal law, your insurance provider may cover the cost of COVx-HT. Learn more here.

Vivera is not a healthcare provider or a laboratory. We cannot bill your insurance directly on your behalf. COVx-HT may be covered by your FSA or HSA plan.

Why can I only buy one kit at a time?
Each order generates a unique barcode just for you. Due to HIPAA requirements, we are only able to collect the required information for processing one sample at a time.
 
The COVx-HT process is set up to provide an easy to use, error free, streamlined experience for each patient.
 
How quickly will I receive my order?

Your order will be processed within 12-24 hours. Generally, orders that are placed before 1:00pm Pacific Time Monday through Friday are shipped same day.

All orders are shipped via FedEx expedited. There are no additional fees for shipping.

Upon shipment you will receive a confirmation email with tracking. We will also send you an email once your order is delivered.

How quickly do I get my results?
Our laboratory provider is averaging approximately 48 hours from the time your sample is received and processed by the lab to deliver your results. Samples are processed Monday through Saturday.

Upon receipt of your sample, you will receive a confirmation email. When your test results are ready, you will receive a second email with a secure link to download and view your results.

Please note that Vivera and our laboratory provider cannot control delays caused by incorrect information provided by the patient. Please verify your information prior to submitting your order.

How do I order more than One kit?
Each member of your household will need their own individual order. This is the only way to guarantee the integrity of your test results.
 

Due to HIPPA regulations, each test must be matched exactly to the patient collecting the sample.

Is COVx-HT available for everyone?

COVx-HT is available in the United States pursuant to your state’s laws on home test collection. You must be over the age of 18.

Only those currently experiencing COVID-19 symptoms are eligible to order COVx-HT at this time.

If you’re experiencing severe symptoms, such as difficulty breathing, seek medical attention right away. The CDC recommends calling your healthcare provider immediately.

How accurate is this test for detecting the coronavirus?

The RT-PCR test used to run your COVx-HT sample is 97% to 100% sensitive and nearly 100% specific to the COVID-19 causing SARS-CoV-2 virus. The RT-PCR test used currently has FDA Emergency Use Authorization under the guidelines provided by the FDA. Click here to read more about the use of RT-PCR testing in the diagnoses of COVID-19.

How long do I have to use my kit?

Under proper conditions, your kit can be stored for up to 6 months. Do not refrigerate, freeze, or expose COVx-HT to direct sunlight or high heat. Keep out of humid environments such as your kitchen or bathroom.

For the most accurate testing we suggest you perform your swab within 24 hours of receiving your kit and send the sample back to our lab within 24 hours of collecting your sample. Expedited shipping to and from your home is on us.
